Teton peaks in varying day-ending light.
What used to be a blog about experiencing the places and cultures of the world has morphed into one of living in my adopted home of Wyoming.

The beginning of some interesting weather developing. I was hiking around in the willow flats among some pretty ribald bird vocals, and fantastic coyote song. Think they were doing some weather forecasting. This turned out to be an interesting storm, complete with lots of lightning, which unfortunately I was unable to capture in a photo.
I have a small handheld digital camera that I take as a secondary shooter. It's got a flash, so I don't take it on the trail - it's settings are pretty simple. But, what I've found handy on previous visits, is the ability to join in that gangsta recreation, drive-by shooting. Except I use a camera. Besides this one and the later campsite shots on this camera, all of these shots were taken from within the car and while driving. Now about this shot. On my first day of my trip, I drove over to Victor, Idaho for breakfast, and passed the old Spud Drive In on the way. I didn't capture the actual drive in in this photo, but it's a still-functional icon.
