This is the window of the guest room. The drop leaf has been refinished, thanks to the carelessness of the packers last year who secured it with tape all around.  Posted by Picasa
East wall of the Camping Room. This holds the tents, some photos I probably won't hang, paperwork, etc. Posted by Picasa

This is the west wall of the camping room. It's got all the camping gear minus the tents.  Posted by Picasa

In Bowling Green, we stopped for a bite to eat at the Canyon Cafe. I highly recommend the Key Lime Martinis......complete with graham craker crust coated glass rims. Rather than having plain old plywood over closed store windows, BG does them up right, ala Hopper. Posted by Picasa
My friend Patricia came to visit for the weekend - my first visitor to the new place in Ohio!! We had a great time - even if it was not quite what we were expecting. We started off with a quick trip to Canada, a Detroit Detour, dinner and drinks in Bowling Green, and a few more drinks in Findlay. We explored all the Main Street shops in Findlay - yes, every single one - caught a movie, had more drinks, and hit Toledo on Sunday en route back to DTW in Detroit. Here's Patricia at the homestead. This was the most interesting shot I could muster in Findlay over the weekend. It's an interesting staircase that must hve been a beast to weld. Posted by Picasa
In Bowling Green (OH, not KY), Patricia and I had to stop for a quick drink (read: restroom break). When I saw the Big Boy, I had to stop here....I thought this chain died with the Chevy Bel Air. Turns out Big Boy is still strong in Michigan and Ohio, at least. Posted by Picasa
This is the best possible view of Detroit. (Note: taken while heading to Canada). Probably shouldn't do that while driving across an international border / bridge. Posted by Picasa
So, on Friday, Patricia and I decided to go to Canada. Because it's close, and we could. It was a grey day but not quite rainy. Here we're crossing the Ambassador Bridge, spanning Detroit, Michigan, USA on one side, and Windsor, Ontario, Canada on the other. I find it interesting that, for some reason, the cable supports for the bridge spans do not appear on the photograph! Posted by Picasa
Those crazy Canadians!!! I'm going to go have a bowl of Flocons Givres! Delicieaux! Posted by Picasa
Now, this should be very illegal. But for some reason, there were no signs everywhere prohibiting photography, so I continued my growing habit of "shootin' an' drivin'" Posted by Picasa
On Sunday, en route to the airport, we stopped off in Toledo. We might not have had we known that the whole city shuts down on weekends. But we got to see the home of the world famous Toledo Mudhens. I remember this team name from watching M*A*S*H as a kid! Posted by Picasa
